A disastrous end to a sugary feast.

I watched in a little bit of horror as four actors ravenously tore into the artful little cakes that I'd made with painstaking care in the wee hours of the morning. I was so delirious by the time we wrapped I couldn't tell if I'd worked on a dream/hallucination sequence or if I was having one. Today, picking up prescriptions (riveting) and prelighting with QAS for Jill. Tomorrow, assisting  on a portait of a computer research analyst (or something) at ucla.

Believe me, it sounds like punishment but I kind of like it...and while you're at it, send me work :)

Please don't eat my business card.

I know the idea of a chef hand-crafting a one-of-a-kind leave-behind with carefully chosen, personally mixed inks can make paper seem delicious, but this is a Fail with a capital F when meeting new people, even in the most liberal of social circles.

Video inspiration, coolest music video by a photographer.

Great example of what a photographer can do with a music video by Lindsey Rome. The framing, style, coloration, all beautiful. No panning though, I think that gives it away. The song is great too. I've definitely been listening to it over and over.

Honk For Japan!

For every 1,000,000 views that this video gets this guy will donate $600. Really.
I'd say that's worth it.

I suddenly remembered Dali's Alice in Wonderland.

Seeing these Salvador Dali prints on a recent trip to San Francisco. He made a series of twelve illustrations, his interpretation of Alice in Wonderland. I find Ralph Steadman's work to have a startling resemblance. I love blotches of color and ink.
Here they are:
